The manga is far too acclaimed to not get pitched to studios by the publisher (or the other way around) and selling this as HBO: The Anime is a no-brainer. Show a radicalized 4chan user in a Guy Fawkes mask shooting up an American school in a trailer you will get people, at least outside of Japan, talking.
I would even argue that a live-action show made in America would work as well as an anime here. I don´t remember even one Asian character having a speaking role. The material that would go into a theoretical S2 is basically Alex Garland´s Civil War: The Comic. This will be the most openly political anime in a very long time. The manga is being used to advertise PotA 4 btw:

Another manga I kept telling myself I'd go read, only to put it off for so long that an anime gets announced for it, rip.

I saw the the title and got interested then I saw the 1st visual and I got more interested then I saw the visual below it and laughed. Reading the plot, I'm 50/50, so I'll wait for the trailer.

I was wrong btw. The Red Pill reddit is used to incite a school shooting. Sorry 4chan. Chapter 1 features 2 terror attacks. The second is the bombing of a restaurant and is designed to maximize casualties. Including children. The operation is funded by US veterans who got radicialised by the war on terror and the confession video is staged like those ISIS releases. The villains are also a far left version of PETA. Basically the RAF but with the aim to start WW3.

HBO's Watchmen sequel wished it had such balls. There is a good chance that the show will get people far outside the anime bubble talking so I hope that this goes to Netflix or Amazon to maximize its reach. If this show can't make it on Fox News then no anime can.

Well, this is interesting. "The Darwin Incident" gets an anime. It'll be interesting to see it come here soon. I'd be interested in seeing that.
