The new app is letting me watch past the first three episodes of shows without a paywall so that is already a step up.

After all the hyping they did for it, i'm expecting it to be at least better than their terrible app they had before.

Ya I'm not seeing it either. I still see Funimation and Funimation Free for Google Play.

Same here. I went to go download it and was immediately disappointed by its absence.

Funimation is forever re-designing their video stuff. No matter the updates and changes, the end result always seems to be something that Funi deems unacceptable.
I'm not sure what it is. I didn't think there were still big mysteries on how to successfully stream video over the internet in 2016.

No luck on iOS either. Hopefully they get that up soon.

At least on the iOS App Store, you need to search for "FunimationNow". Just searching for "Funimation" shows the cruddy old version.
So far not too bad, and a huge improvement from before. There's a few minor issues like how you can't tap to get rid of the player controls while watching a video. You have to wait a few seconds for them to disappear. Video quality seems a slight step down from the playing directly on the website, but both of these are easy fixes.

You need to specifically search "FunimationNow" for it to appear on iOS. I have it downloaded.

I got it now. Much better than the last one, though that isn't saying much. No more manually adding shows to the apps queue. Haven't tested the video player yet.

It is currently available for download in the Apple and Amazon stores. We are awaiting confirmation from the Google Play and Windows stores. We will let you know when it is there and ready for download. If you have a Windows or Android device, please stand by!

Mildly interesting that they partner with Sony but don't release to Sony consoles until two months later.

Nicely done Funimation! I quite like the new app, clean design and easy to use. Hoping the new website is just as big of an improvement.

Here's the question: Can free users create a queue, and do you have to have an account to make a queue? There is no way to create a queue (seemingly with or without paying) on the PS3 app, which is why as soon as I discovered that, I had them delete my account completely.
