Funimation Holds Yuri!!! on Ice Postcard Rally for Creators at AnimeFest

Fans can mail in postcards to be presented to creators at August event

Funimation announced at its Anime Expo panel on Saturday that it will run a Yuri!!! on Ice Postcard Rally linked to the AnimeFest convention. Fans unable to attend the event in Dallas will be able to mail in 4-inch by 6-inch or 5-inch by 7-inch postcards that Funimation will present to three Yuri!!! on Ice creators at AnimeFest.

The anime convention will host director Sayo Yamamoto, co-creator Mitsurou Kubo, and character designer and animation director Tadashi Hiramatsu from the Yuri!!! on Ice television anime.

The Postcard Rally begins on Tuesday, July 4, and postcards must be received by August 10, the first day of the convention. Fans who wish to participate can send postcards to:

Yamamoto and Kubo are also attending Anime Expo, which is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 1 to July 4. The convention also formally included a preview night a day before on June 30.

AnimeFest 2017 will be held at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel from August 17-20. The convention's guests also include rock band LM.C, voice actress Atsumi Tanezaki, and scriptwriter Dai Satō. In addition, the convention will host writer and director Kenji Kamiyama, animation director Motonobu Hori, mechanical designer Shigeto Koyama, creature designer Christophe Ferreira, and producer Yoshiki Sakurai from the Ancien and the Magic Tablet (Hirune Hime: Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari) anime film.
