Crunchyroll Adds New GeGeGe no Kitarō Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Saturday that it has added the new television anime based on Shigeru Mizuki's GeGeGe no Kitarō manga to its simulcast lineup. The first episode is available now. Crunchyroll will stream the series for users in North America, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Europe.
The anime premiered on Fuji TV on April 1 at 9:00 a.m., replacing Dragon Ball Super in the timeslot. The anime will run for 50+ episodes.
Many of the cast members, listed below, have appeared in previous anime adaptations of GeGeGe no Kitarō, but none are reprising roles.
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Kitarō
- Masako Nozawa as Medama Oyaji
- Yukiyo Fujii as new character Mana Inuyama
- Toshio Furukawa as Nezumi Otoko
- Umeka Shōji as Neko Musume
- Kappei Yamaguchi as Ittan Momen
- Bin Shimada as Konaki Jijii, Nurikabe
- Mayumi Tanaka as Sunakake Baba
Kouji Ogawa is serving as series director while Hiroshi Ohnogi (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) is handling series composition. Sorato Shimizu is the character designer and chief animation director. Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail) and -yaiba- (Naruto Shippūden) are composing the music. Fuji TV, Yomiuri Advertising, and Toei Animation are producing.
Kiyoshi Hikawa will perform the anime's classic opening theme song "Gegege no Kitarō," while idol group Maneki-kecak will perform the anime's ending theme song "Kagami no Naka kara" (From Inside the Mirror).
