Ni no Kuni II Game Previews 'The Tale of a Timeless Tome' DLC in Trailer

DLC debuts on March 19

Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming a trailer for "The Tale of a Timeless Tome" DLC for Level-5's Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom PlayStation 4 and PC game on Monday. The trailer reveals the DLC's March 19 release date.

Bandai Namco Entertainment describes the DLC:

The Tale of a Timeless Tome begins with Evan and his friends hearing about a rumor regarding a mysterious rabbit dressed in a tuxedo that is being seen in people's dreams. Evan decides to investigate by staying at the Goldpaw Inn. When Evan falls asleep, he finds himself in a dream world and encounters the rabbit who tells them he is The Conductor. Who is this off character and what is his objective?

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom launched in March 2018 worldwide.

Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino, artist Yoshiyuki Momose (The Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Only Yesterday, Pom Poko), and Hayao Miyazaki's longtime collaborator Joe Hisaishi (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away) all returned for story and general direction, character designs, and music, respectively.

Level-5 debuted the fantasy role-playing game Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for the PlayStation 3 in Japan in 2011, after a Ni no Kuni: Shikkoku no Madōshi game for Nintendo DS in 2010 and a game for Japanese phones. Namco Bandai Games then released Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch outside Japan in 2013. The RPG featured cut scenes from Studio Ghibli, although Ghibli was not specifically mentioned on the new sequel's staff. The franchise is inspiring an anime film that will debut this summer.
