Sometimes, I forget that crane games are seen as a game of skill in Japan, whereas in the west, they have the reputation of being all luck (which is not true--they're only MOSTLY luck, and you need to have a TON of skill, like competitive level, to get your money's worth if you want a claw machine plush, and even then they're mostly rigged to not have the grip strength to grab a feather most of the time).
