Oh, so Luna's original name is Frena. I see. Wink

I'd watch the Japanese version just for Seki, but I want to hear Aaron Paul as Nyx first(not saying Seki voices Nyx).

I hope we get celebrities for the English version. I'm sick of hearing the same voice actors over and over in anime. There's better voice actors like Nolan North, Jason Marsden, Kevin Conroy and plenty more!

The English cast is actually pretty good. It includes Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad and The Path, Sean Bean who's died in more films than I can mention, and Lena Heady from Game of Thrones (Cersi Lannister).

You get tired of hearing the same voice actors in anime but then list 3 voice actors one could make the argument as being just as overused.

The English version is not a dub. A dub implies replacement of audio from its original language to another language. The English version is the original. Not a dub.

The film takes place near the beginning of the game, so might as well watch it first.

Or rather it takes place during an invasion that happens near the start of the game.

So I guess if you want you could play the game until you start to get to the part that has to do with the invasion. Stop playing. Then watch the movie. Then pick up the game after that.

This is a joke right? LIke you haven't been paying attention at all.

This movie is by far their biggest attempt to pander yet. Going so far as using different actors than in the game. Which is irritating as hell. As it creates discontinuity in how you perceive the characters because each actor will portray them differently.

Which isn't surprising since XV's game design is nothing but pandering too.

And last I checked, they didn't use the "Same" anime voice actors for FF games.
You are really projecting your feelings from somewhere else, and as well it's not like they don't do the exact same thing in Japan.

So it seems that the Japanese cast for the movie will also be different from the voice actors used in the game.

Which I'm pretty sure the majority of fans won't care about all that much whether they choose to watch the film or not in conjunction with the game itself.

So the lip animations are tied to the English script and not the Japanese one? That's pretty surprising, don't you think?

When I first saw FF: The Spirits Within I wondered about what it might mean for the future of human actors. It wasn't a very good film in terms of story, but the CGI models were stunning for their time. These are just breathtaking. Are we eventually going to cross the "uncanny valley?" These characters certainly come close.
