$164409 from playing in 371 theaters means each theater earned $443.15.
All of the theaters I saw only had one showing, so that's how much each theater earned per screening.
Ticket prices range from $10-$12 so, there were 44-37 people on average in each screening. That's amazing considering the only marketing done on it was posters, social media, and banner ads.

There were more people than I thought there would be on the showing I went to, it was storming that night too. The wind and the rain were a nightmare getting there, it was crazy!

Made it day one. The movie was freaking awesome. These numbers I'm guessing are pretty damn good. It's just a shame about the reports that the creators of our favorite series' don't even get about half of the total sum no matter where their films are shown. The animation studio gets most.

Anyway, I'd also like to stat that they did a really good job on the dub for this movie. I had bashed the One Piece Funimation dub on a previous post advertising the movie. I had to go see this to support Oda and my love for One Piece. I take most everything back. The movie itself was so fantastic that I barely had any trouble getting past the rehashed voices. Didn't cringe once considering lol. No chance I'll watch future episodes dubbed though.

Did you completely miss my post by chance? Lol don't be that way friend.

This is all to support the series. Think of it that way if anything. I can vouch for Funimation and say they did a great job on this movie's dub. Trust me, you'll be too into the movie to have trouble with the voices.

Umm, I don't get what you mean by ''rehashed voices''.

And Funimations dub of One Piece is pretty good, it's the 4Kids and Odex dubs that are trash.

Besides the point but Funimation uses a lot of voices from DBZ KAI in their One Piece dub. Not og DBZ but Kai..

Anyway, I don't really care for One Piece's English dub. I'm just saying I had a positive experience with it with this movie premiere. In a sense, I was almost forced to watch it dubbed as the subbed isn't being shown in theaters stateside. I could've watched it subbed illegally on Kissanime or some other illegal streaming site but I decided to buy a ticket, give Oda my money, and support a series I enjoy. IMO, the Japanese dub is 10x better.

Okay I'll debunk your entire argument right here, first of all Funimation's dub of One Piece started in 2007 while their dub of DBZ Kai started in 2010 meaning One Piece was dubbed 3 years before DBZ Kai ,so Colleen Clinkenbeard & Brina Palencia were in One Piece before DBZ Kai, Ian Sinclair was cast as Brook before he was in Dragon Ball and Luci Christian, Stephanie Young & Patrick Seitz have never been in Dragon Ball at all outside the video games. second of all of course they share voice actors they were dubbed by the same company, that's like complaining that Naruto & Bleach shares many of the same voice actors and even than they've been consistantly casting actors outside their main talent pool since episode 207. Third of all a voice actor being in more than on major project has nothing to do with the quality of the voice acting. Finally if you have a problem with the voice actors for the main cast take it up with Oda not Funimation, he was the one who had final say on who the voice actors will be.

If you don't care for the dub in the first place why did you go see it in the theater instead of waiting for the dvd release, nobody is forcing you to watch it, to me it seems like you just wasted money on a less positive experience for yourself.

The Japanese versions of those two series share a lot of the same voice actors as well, so I'm not sure how this is a complaint.

Exactly, like Luffy's Japanese voice actor is the same as Krillin & Yajirobe & Ace's voice is the same as Piccolo's. I also noticed that people only ever seem have this complaint with anime dubs, and it's not even a legitimate complaint.

Hey c'mon now! Why am I being attacked here?! Lol. You guys are thinking about me but I don't think about you at all Laughing

@ryoukosan245

You're corny my friend. If I feel like going to the movies to see a movie about a series I enjoy let me do that, will ya? Went to see it in theaters and I'll buy it DVD/Blu-Ray also. Are you mad you didn't purchase my ticket or something? What you think couldn't be anymore irrelevant. Again, IMO, the Japanese dub is 10x better. One hundred times even. You think otherwise? That's a very great opinion you've got there.

Geez nobody here attacked you, stop playing the victim card.

I never once said you couldn't go to the theaters to watch the movie, I just questioned why you would since you've made it clear you don't care for the dub at all and also I don't really give a shit. I could also give less of a shit which version of the show you thought was better, I've personally watched the tv series as well as Strong World & Film Z dubbed while I watched everything else subbed and I don't think any version of the show is better than the other, then again I don't know anything about the Japanese language and therefor can't tell how good of a job the voice actors are doing, which I'm also questioning how you could when you need subtitles to understand what the characters are saying in the first place. Also I like how you completely ignored the fact that I debunked your first argument.

^ I've got an answer for you there. Although, you might not like it. IMO (once again) the Japanese dub puts more passion into their voice acting. Me and A LOT of others feel Tanaka's voice acting. I can't say the same for Kai kid Gohan's.

You debunked my first argument? OHHHH NOOOOO how will I ever live?!

How do you define "they have more passion"? Because they yell more or something? I never really got that line of logic when it came to people defending subs.
