It's great this is getting another season. Although now I know that there are only three episodes left this season Sad

Edit: Forgot that CR is a week behind Rooster Teeth, so there is one more episode than I thought Very Happy Still almost over until fall though Sad And come to think of it 11 episodes wouldn't have made sense anyhow

"American-made anime"
That is so wrong on so many levels.

.....why? Is it because how you can no longer say that you should watch anime in it's ORIGINAL and INTENDED language and it no longer means all anime must be watched in Japanese dub or am I reading too far into things here.

Some define anime in part by country of origin, namely Japan, and thus anime from other countries is a contradiction in terms. Not that I necessarily agree but that is why they believe that.

Whatever you want to call it I think RWBY is the closest there is to "American-made anime"

The descriptions are read so well and the trailers are great and intro good with great music and then the show, the show speaks for itself. Impressive its gone on this long though.

Amazing news indeed.

Given the pace of Vol. 4 and is finalizing.

Good news to me, I very much enjoy this show. Plus more RWBY chibi will be hilarious I'm sure.

I have zero interest in RWBY, but I do get a sort of weird, cathartic satisfaction that this is the faux-anime thats been getting some promotion in Japan rather than those """better than most anime"""shows people like to tout like Avatar and Stephen Universe.

as the topic seems to be in discussion right now why is it such a sin to remember that the word Animé is the French contraction of Japanese animation?(at least that's the story I believe)

Fairly sure it comes from the abbreviation of アニメーション (animation) to アニメ (anime)

By definition, if it is made in America, it's not anime. Anime is made in Japan, even if they end up using non-Japanese help to create it. That's why Avatar: the Last Airbender is not anime, either, although it does use anime styling. If they want to say that RWBY uses some anime-styling in their show, I have no problem with that, but calling it American-made anime is nonsensical IMO.

Oh, and yay for RWBY season 5 getting made!
