A shame it won't be streaming as it airs, but at least it won't be condemned to the pits of Anime Strike.

This looks interesting. While Lance N' Masques isn't exactly a positive mark on the director's work, I don't think this will be bad with a better series composition writer than that show. It certainly looks much better than that one. Their work in Your Lie in April was great and at least in terms of direction, Occultic;Nine had some intriguing work.

I've made my peace with Netflix's release schedule and I take solace in the fact that they have handled things better than they did with Seven Deadly Sins - which was released over a year after it started broadcast (or over six months after it finished airing) and only announced not long before it was released.

Such is Netflix. Annoying as hell, but what can you do?

At least Netflix and Amazon are supporting a revival of fansubbing.

Ditto. Fall 2017 has gained another show for me to waste my time on...

By the way, Viz will start publishing the manga for this starting November.

Shame they don't simulcast, but with the many shows I watch each season anyway 1 more or less isn't too bad especially when it releases fully dubbed. Hopefully one day they do simulcast and simuldub at the same time. FUNimation doing it so well should push others to do the same.

Other than Lance & Masques, everything this team has worked on has been extremely well directed, so that's a great sign. I'm looking forward to this on that alone.

Children of Whales piqued my interest when I saw watched the trailer at Anime Japan 2017. I'm hoping for Crunchyroll to stream the show and I don't need ghetto fansub streaming sites.

I would suggest rereading the title of the article on that last point.
