Whoa, Kenji Kawai is composing the music? How did he get involved in a project like this? I may want to take a look at this now. The cast is decent enough and the staff looks all right. So... maybe I will. Or won’t. Ah, I find out when it’s closer to premiere date.

I have nothing against loli's, I think loli's are cute, I'm just not attracted to them, so if this series is going to lewd the loli's, then I won't watch it.

Considering how it was ranked #1 in the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook 2 years in a row, I think it’s worth a shot.

I started reading the first volume of the light novel recently, and there are some moments of light innuendo involving Ai. But it's also a great, fun story, so if you skip it over that then I'm quite sure you'll be missing out.
As mentioned above, it's one of the top ranked light novels right now for a reason.

You should check out ANN's review of the light novels. Apparently, the lolis are just a draw. The real meat of the story is in the shogi games.
Damn. The anime for this series came out faster than I expected. Surprisingly strong staff. too.

It's anime. And we're not stuck a decade ago. Even if it has some lolibait elements, as long as there's something else to focus on (and there is in this case), the anime adaptation will cut the "lewd" out of the lolis, so nothing to get worked up about.

That depends on your definition of loli bait. From what I've read on the LN so far, it seems to be more about tongue-in-cheek innuendo and humorous misunderstandings than outright ecchi fanservice.
