Thank you. The earlier it airs the sooner the BD's come out. Thought it'd be in July. lol Anyway, still not used to the new designs. It'll grow on me eventually though.

Wonderful. I’m hoping that Crunchyroll will be able to simulcast it. The visuals will take a little time to get used to, but ultimately, more DxD is always a good thing.

As long as the new studio doesn’t try to do original stuff like the old studio did with Season 3 and simply stick to the original source material, Season 4 should have no problem whatsoever at being better than Season 3.

The newer, softer character models will lend to amazing animation for the Issei vs Saiarog fight they teased in the first teaser.

Yeah, we seem to have entered monkey's paw territory. We get one at the expense of the other. What's extra-frustrating is that Issei looks fine, while Rias doesn't.

Unfortunately as much as I hate to admit it season 3 was a necessary evil because as a guy whose read the novels up to a point if they kept on with the 2 volumes per season then they would’ve left on a massive cliffhanger and middle finger to the audience if they would go on to make season 5. At least now if they do make a season 5 since it is a two parter volume 11 could be in the first half and 12 could be in the later half.

In a way it probably was necessary but it couldve been done better. After all they skipped the climax fight of vol 5. If they had included that which couldve easily covered 2 eps then they shouldnt have had to enter anime-original territory even if the season was more rushed than usual

Anyone who is complaining about the new illustration, just remember that this is how Highschool D original look from the light novel.

Actually the art style of the LN changed quite recently at vol 22 which marks the start of the final arc of the series and is much closer to the manga's art. The first 3 seasons are much closer to the art style of vols 1-21.

Th new art is definitely lackluster but with a new studio I’m positive the season will be overall better
