Guess they were waiting for the storm to pass. Hope for more anime in the future too.

Abandon that hope. The tax evasion basically killed any chance of more anime unless by some miracle it does happen, but the damage has likely been done. At least the LNs will continue. |

The anime was airing on a government funded timeslot and only got a second season for that reason. You can bet we're never gonna see more of it animated after that stunt |

Hard to believe it has been three years since we have gotten any new material offically published.
Log Horizon is one those titles that represent the best of the Isekai genre, Now these days we have been getting so many copy and paste stories but this one stood out very much even more now. I just hope that another season would come out, although i don't know if it will occur due to whole tax evasion scenario but considering it has been such a long gap since the last release i would imagine that it's fandom is not as strong as it was and maybe they have an excuse to do another season as another promotional method. we just have to wait and see. I am just glad we got something new now. |

Nice. I thought the series was plain done after the author's 'arrest', didn't even know he was still releasing in the web.

I'd argue that writing isekai novels breaches that condition, your honour. |

Good to see him back. Log Horizon is one of the best Light Novels I remeber reading. I even wanted to get it autographed back when Yamato was planning to bring him to an event in Brazil but then the arrest came and the plans fell through.

About a volume and a half's worth of chapters last year. |

Good to hear that more is coming. It's the only LN series I've bought so far.

I thought this series was over due to the tax issues, great to hear that it's going to continue getting releases and that it was already being continued online.
Maybe there's still a chance MAOYU will come out here now |

Hopefully Yen will publish it soon after. I've been wanting to read "Krusty Tycoon Road" since the 2nd season ended, it's the first stuff past the ending, AND we (theoretically) find out what's going on with Krusty further than that brief cameo.
And then hopefully Round Table Collapse and Nightingale's Song will follow after that! |

I am very glad to hear that. I had lost hope, to be honest.
With #10 being released in february/march, YP may just be able to pull off a release schedule that doesn't feel like there's a huge gap. While I'm not a big fan of isekai, Log Horizon is just special. I played WoW competitively for years, and while Elder Tales is not WoW, it feels very 'real' to me. Too bad about the anime, though. Another season would have been great, but oh well, at least the LN isn't dying. |
