Hoping for a volume 5 adaptation which might actually work better in a movie format that seasonal format.

Please don't mess this up, J.C.. That promo-image does not inspire confidence so far. :<

Designs look pretty good, they could do a good job with this.

this seems to be a new trend(not in a bad way or a good way) of having a show have a film instead of/before a second, or in this case third, season.

Slightly disappointed considering the wait is almost a year since they first announced a new anime project and it turned out to be a movie which will most likely be out either by the end of the year or early 2019. Unless theyre gonna announce season 3 at the end of that movie Im not feeling particularly excited unless they plan to adapt one of the vols in the movie most likely vol 5 or 6

If I'm going to guess, then chances of it happening are pretty high.

Since most of the original staff is returning, I trust this project at J.C. more than OPM S2, which changed both studios and staff...

Recap movie so very likely. So not interested in that.

And if by some miracle there is a third season, do we really need a movie on top of that?

If it does happen to be anime original content, I would have to question why the bother? There is no lack of material here.

Overlord had a couple of compilation films made before the most recent seasons were announced, so i don't think this film rules out a future season; there's more than enough material as far as i know, and the franchise is massively popular.

I'm glad a lot of the original staff is coming back (the director, character designers, VAs, etc.), but i'm a little nervous that it's changing studios. I enjoyed the looser style of season 2, and Deen's work in general on this series, so i'm afraid of what the unknown will bring. Reviewing their Wiki page, they've done a lot of solid shows, including a lot of comedies, so i guess i'll remain optimistic.

J.C. Staff is generally far more loved than Studio DEEN, so this should be good.

Also, I'm seeing February 2019 from some JP websites. No idea what their source is.

Bummer that it’s a movie instead of a TV series, because between waiting for the Japanese theatrical release, the Japanese Blu-Ray release, a holdback period, and finally a Western company licensing and releasing it… we’re not going to see this for 3-5 years.

So yeah, if anyone’s still into Konosuba in 2022, this will be great news.

While J.C. Staff is a fine studio, I just can't see Konosuba without anyone but DEEN. Their use of intentionally off-model animation has become its signature look. I just can't see a Konosuba anime succeeding without it.
