Oh man the moment has come. Im glad the story hasn't been dragged on for years to come. A good 3 years I believe this manga has gone on for.

Such a shame Viz's translation still hasn't caught up. There's still about 25 chapters missing before I can catch up, and it looks like it's gonna finish in Japan before the gap fills in. So stupid, and they haven't even added any chapters for April like they promised they would do every month. They really dropped the ball with this series.

They simul-release the chapters when they get released in the states. You can read it all on Viz's Manga+ site/app. They are caught up. They are also only one volume behind when releasing the collected volumes.

This is what I was going to say, but I went and checked the chapter list on the site and yeah, the simul-release began with Chapter 139 on Dec 17, 2018. The newest before that was a batch (107-115) posted March 22, 2020. So yeah, they skipped ahead and have been filling the older volumes as translate them.

Sucks, but hey, pandemic, right?

What are you even talking about? I read through the app and have the $2 subscription, and there is no way to read volumes 14-16 chapters (116-138) unless I go read unofficial scanlations. Viz didn’t start simulpubbing Demon Slayer until December 2018.

I mean, no one's going to come after you if you went and found the other chapters online somewhere. Who knows when they'll get the missing chapters finished during this crisis. You're supporting the mangaka(along with all the other Viz ones), regardless. The quality is not the same, of course...

So it sounds like the series is ending already? Honestly, that's good they know when to end, instead of dragging things out like other long-running series. I've been putting off checking it out (only saw the first episode of the anime) but knowing the story has its end in sight gives me more incentive to read/watch the series. Even with series I enjoy, like My Hero Academia and Attack on Titan, have gone on for so long that I can't help but get fatigued and wonder when they'll end. I'm really disappointed with the direction AoT took, and I wish it had ended much earlier.

Though I don't think ending earlier would actually change the direction AoT took.

Some story details are planned relatively from the start & are always in place to happen.

Sad that this series is ending this year (hopefully with the announcement of the climax) but I'm glad that they're finishing it up.
