One thing I would like to know.....what Transformers are these characters based on?

Seriously though, glad this anime got a second season (which is think is a first for Trigger).

Looks like a blond-haired Rikka clone in the back left...

I honestly felt SSSS Gridman ended pretty conclusively, but I am definitely willing to come back for a second installment. Looking forward to it! Smile

I'm no TF expert but according to some twitter sleuths they're likely all going to be based on Beast Wars designs.

If thats true, then this is definitely getting watched by me. Beast Wars is still my favorite iteration of Transformers

SSSS.GRIDMAN might honestly be my favorite Trigger title to date, and I'm a big fan of the daikaiju genre, so I definitely look forward to this.

I will light a candle and pray to Jeebus that this doesn't end up on Netflix.

I’m still a little confused about how this title continues the story. This isn’ta direct sequel to SSSS.Gridman is it?

That appears to be the case. But it could also take place in a different place with characters connected to the Neon Genesis Junior High students.

For the record, Dynazenon was the name of the Dragon-armor power-up Gridman could use in the original series. In Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, it was renamed "Drago". So, as it were, they're just writing in the one 'power-up' that was never used in SSSS.Gridman.
