I'm super excited for this. I liked the ending of the first series a lot, and if the sequel skips ahead in time a bit, it could get into some really interesting territory.

Good question. They deliberately chose to start with the case that kicks off the overarching plot, and therefore ends inconclusively, for the anime they made, so I'd hope that they're planning a follow-up. I wonder if they'd be able to squeeze "The Atlas Contract" and "Grand Roll" into one season. Although they'd presumably have to change a lot, since they completely skipped the books that introduced Touko, Flueger, Atrum, and other characters who have significant parts in the final case. |
