The opening is fantastic.

Only, no sign of Bond!

Gotta say though, just reading Yuri in the headlines makes me sigh, I hope he doesn't impact the anime reception too negatively in the west, especially with the dumb tiktokers complaning about incest/fanservice that isn't even there (...til Yuri, regarding the former).

He brings the whole series down with his stupid incestuous shenanigans towards his sister (big siscon energy, which only gets more flanderized as the story progresses). Take that away from him (or tone it down a notch and make it less obsessive) and you already have a much better character to work with. It's for comedy, but much like in Black Clover, it just doesn't work well, and most of the english-speaking fanbase seem to find that an annoyance at best, and I agree (easily the most divisive character in the cast going by discussions and threads of the series so far).

Then again, afaik this sort of trope usually just works when it's more about sibling jealousy than an actual crush on their sister (particularly when the characters are grown adults). Gintama worked around that very well, for a positive example (even because Shinpachi does not rely on that sort of gag at all for the most part, unlike Yuri).

Should be amusing seeing him getting voiced by Japanese Harry Potter though (he did great in a similar role in Shingeki no Kyojin as Floch, I bet at least that will get us some funny memes) lol

His arc will probably be the last of this cour considering the really nice pacing they are going with this, so they may add him in a v2 of the opening by the end, perhaps.

I second this! Also looking forward to Bond! ^^

(About Yuri, I hope the adaptation will keep being faithful to the manga. If some people don't like some of the content of this story, then they can simply don't read/watch it. Changing the story/characterizations wouldn't be respectful to the mangaka.)

I will probably not be able to hear him as Yuri without picturing GioGio Laughing

Agreed that Yuri should be kept as how he is in the manga.

Oho are we getting the cruise ship arc?

Honestly they could tone down Yuri in the original as well unless fans legit think the gag is that funny. But Yuri probably will remain the most divisive character because of that gag and the fact that he’s secret police which is a legit trauma that people still have

Kensho Ono is awesome. I feel like if anyone can work Yuri's character and the many different sides to him, it's him. He might even make him come off more likeable.

Also, Junichi Suwabe!

Umeka Shouji sounded like an uncanny fusion of Miyuki Sawashiro and Mai Nakahara. I was almost sure it was Nakahara at first.

And I thought it was Sawashiro! My mind is blown.
