Things are already looking bleak, considering the release of the first volume is supposed to be nearby and it still has not enough chapters to fill, while the health issues of the author escalated even further.

It's probably safer to just transfer the series to J+ by now and let Shindo work on a less tight schedule.

They need to transfer this series to Junp plus. It fits that platform more than regular Jump and it would give the writer more time to rest.

Considering it's going on an indefinite break for Shindou's health, I'd assume the cause is something considerably more serious than just not getting the chapters done in time. If that's the case, moving it to Jump+ wouldn't really change much.

I don't know if it's allowed but they should delay the first volume until there's enough chapters released for it.

I'm really in love with this series and hope that Shindo is able to get plenty of rest/recovery.

I also think the problem seems bigger than it looks. It would be such a shame if this manga was canceled early for such an unfair reason, since Mashle and U&U started in January 2020, there hasn't been a shonen jump manga that interests me like RuriDragon has.

From a week to indefinite is sad to see. Hopefully the mangaka can make a successful recovery.

I feel really bad for him, he finally got a serialization and he gets really sick a few weeks in. I hope his recovery goes well

Hoping for a quick and full recovery for the mangaka. Ruri Dragon apparently was very well received in Japan so hopefully the bosses are supportive. Of course, shouldn't have to have a hit manga to be allowed a healthy schedule, but that's the way the industry is...
