It's cool to see it get recognition like this. Princess Tutu was one of my favorite shows of the 2000s, and I still look on it fondly. I'm looking forward to seeing the event when it happens. May have to hope for someone to sub it, though.

A shame that the OP/ED singer can't be part of this celebration
Never mind that Princess Tutu was first released in the US by ADV back in 2005, or that the main character is called (quite rightly, as part of a European fairytale setting) Duck in the official subtitle translations and English dub. |

Aging, I would guess. She turned 35 in 2003, and that's about when a lot of Japanese female VAs start getting nudged out in favor of younger, cheaper talent. Gotta have fresh faces for the seiyuu-otakus at those live events. She may have gotten married and had one or more children around that time, but I wouldn't know. |
