It reminds me of the 2017/18 days of Netflix releases (e.g. Kakegurui S1) where we sit and have no clue what the hell is even happening and after more than half a year we receive something. Also Summer Time Rendering and Black Rock Shooter are still due in many terretories with no information when to expect them ...

It's so unclear which countries can watch Bleach and which cannot yet. Netherlands doesn't have it, but I switched to UK and they do. Can't find any info on my country so I guess I'll just keep switching to UK for now.

The handling of this has been abysmal by Disney and I sympathise with all those that are still waiting for details. I live in the UK and do have it but I resent having to pay for an additional streaming service purely to watch this, there's nothing else on there that I have any interest in. Thankfully my neighbour also is a customer and will now share his service with me so I've only had to pay for one month. I'd still have preferred to have it on CR, the additional fact they pulled all the previous episodes in the way that they did was dreadful.
This is definitely about income above customer interests and the marketing of this product from such a big company was poorly handled. I dread to think what will happen when it finally comes to a DVD release once the streaming is done. |

I live in Brazil and I'm disgusted with Disney+.
They took Bleach off all streaming services and are not showing the new season. What remains is to appeal to piracy, garbage company. |

It also isn't available anywhere in Europe except for the UK.
Because of course when they said "international" they meant "outside of U.S and somewhere else in America...also UK which is basically Europe!". It's 2022 and Latin America and the entirety of Europe still get ignored, this is what happens when you give licenses to companies who only care about America. Can't wait for Disney to get even more licenses so we'll have to go back to 2012, and people still ask me why I don't want more companies to get involved in the anime streaming industry, competition is only good when the "new" companies offer a good service otherwise they're just an obstacle. |

A Star+ post said Black Rock Shooter will be released in October. And given Summer Time Rendering ended on September, we can expect it to be released around January of next year. |

The weird thing is that Bleach is available with Neutral Spanish subtitles in DIsney+ in some regions like New Zealand for some reason, so you can technically use a VPN and switch regions to watch it legally, but it begs the question why it isn't available in LatAm, especailly considering how popular Bleach is, and that previous seasons were availabe on Netflix, HBO Max, Crunchyroll, until Disney acquired it so all other platforms had to remove it.
Also, Disney+ in Latin America is kind of bad in some aspects, the content is very limited compared to other regions, for example it only has seasons 29 and 30 of The Simpsons, if you want to watch all of the seasons you have to subscribe to another streaming service, Star+, where all of the mature content, including the most of the 20th Century Fox and Touchstone Pictures catalog. Speaking of which, Black Rock Shooter: Dawnfall and Summer Time Rendering are already dubbed into Neutral Spanish but at the time I'm writing this, those dubs are only available in some Asian regions, though it seems Black Rock will be added to Star+ LatAm this month. They even gave Summer Time Rendering even a localized Spanish name, "La Isla de las Sombras" (lit. The Island of Shadows). Some have theorized Disney doesn't want to mix mature content in their service in some parts of the world, but just recently in Latin America they added the Netflix Marvel shows and movies like Logan and Deadpool to the main Disney+ platform, there's a parental block that needs to be disabled in order to watch them, so that means that mature content is available on D+ so I don't buy that excuse and the fact that you need to hire another streaming service to watch things like The Simpsons or the Die Hard and Aliens/Predator movies despite everything being owned by Disney Last edited by Silver Kirin on Fri Oct 14, 2022 12:02 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Disney has the resources to lobby the American federal gov't for longer and stronger copyright terms. While it might be comparing apples to oranges, I think Disney should have not an issue with combatting region-locking issues.

For your information, Bleach isn't exactly popular here in Latin America, and it's more considered as a cult anime, at worst, despite having a pretty good dub. In fact, the anime adaptation has always being in the dead last list of popularity around here, compared with bigger franchises, like Dragon Ball, Naruto, My Hero Academia, and the like, due to a combination of many factors, like never being broadcasted on TV, for starters and being perennially a streaming series here. |

Well, maybe Bleach isn't as big as Dragon Ball, Naruto or Saint Seiya here, but it still has a strong following online, the manga has been translated into Spanish by different publishers like Ivrea in Argentina, and I actually saw it dubbed on TV when it premiered around 2008/9 on Animax Latin America alongside other anime like Death Note, and back in April of this year they began airing the first 63 episodes on Warner Channel LatAm in their Wánime block. However, the anime dub only reached episode 229, there're some rumors they dubbed more episodes but haven't yet been released. Also, Crunchyroll dubbed Burn the Witch into Neutral Spanish as well. |
