I've had a lot of complaints about TYBW thus far, but it's still sad to say goodbye. While I understand the rationale for cours, I don't think the format works well for Bleach.

Sweet, I'm looking forward to this. I know that not everyone is a fan of cours but I'll enjoy watching all the episodes again and hopefully they'll finish dubbing the rest of the episodes. I live in the UK and they've now added three more dubbed episodes, bringing the number to 6. During the wait for the next cour I'll just watch all of it dubbed and look forward to when it starts again.

It's either they do split cours, or the production falls completely apart.

Yup. Specially considering how even back in Jump Festa, one of the staff members had already admitted that the anime was behind schedule.

I know it's unrealistic, but there are other possibilities... theoretically.

Instead of splitting 52 episodes into four 13-episode cours, they could take a break when the story calls for a break. Instead of this first part being 13 episodes long and stopping in a weird-ish place, they should have stopped before (or immediately after) being introduced to spoiler[Squad Zero]. In my opinion, that's a better place (and perhaps the only logical place) to stop the first "part" of Bleach's TYBW Arc.

If doing that means a "season" would be 8 - 10 episodes instead of 13, so be it. They can have a longer "season" later, or perhaps split the story into 5 parts instead of 4. These air on television, so scheduling that might be a nightmare, but we're in the age of streaming services now. I wish we could think outside the box a bit more instead of forcing a series to conform to the standard 12 - 13 episode cour.

In my opinion, 52 episodes is not enough to tell this particular story, but adding another 13 episodes to make it 65 might be too many. Instead of deciding an anime's episode count by the number of weeks in the season / year, I wish the narrative could decide. Again, I know this is all unrealistic of me to hope for, but I can dream.

This is the final season, the only season being produced. If it was behind, then schedule it for later, but otherwise, I don’t find breaking this season up as justice for the 10 years we’ve waited on this for. Don’t delay again what shouldn’t have been delayed to begin with. It’s like the current production couldn’t have dealt with when the series was originally being produced.

I'm curious, what complaints do you have about the series so far?

And yeah, the long waits is terrible. I've been spoiled with binge watching stuff. The one episode a week, with a break, is killing me. Me and my family member have opted to wait until they get a bunch of episodes. Then start up our hulu subs again, to binge watch that way. I already know what is going to happen because I read the manga (but maybe the anime producers might spice it up a bit, bleach's manga ending felt rushed), yet I still want to watch it animated.

Everyone keeps saying that the reason for them taking so long, is so production quality can be high. I don't know enough about the internal workings of anime production. So I'll just take their word for it.

Ok so, there are 2 episodes(including the hour long on) left. Based on the manga, I imagine there is going to be some moving around of chapters since I'm sure they want the spoiler[flashback to the past] to be in the hour long thing. But I didn't think there was enough between where episode 10 left off an that to fill and entire episode. So I imagine they will take a scene from a later chapter and put it in 11 and end episode 11 right as spoiler[Isshin starts the flashback]. i mean there's a lot of stuff you could move around during this period of calm and preparation in the story.

That said, if they're going to make the final of this cour an hour long, the most logical place to end it might be spoiler[The second invasion maybe? Though that's a harsh way to blue ball the fans for a while. My other thought is the flashback takes up the majority of the episode and the episode ends on Ichigo getting his new zanpakto and uryu joining the quincy army] but that's just my thoughts, what do you all think?
