One Piece filler is better than all the anime shit I watch on the big screen including extremely dull Shinkai movies.

GOAT.

Those are amazing numbers for One Piece Red, but I'm actually fascinated by how well foreign films perform in Japan. Top Gun Maverick was the biggest hit of year worldwide, but now I'm wondering how well Avatar: the Way of Water will do in Japan, the first one is the 12th highest-grossing film in Japan, but I don't think it's on Japanese theaters yet

Nah that's cool. Your fries would just be stale as your
One piece movies are in general.

It already was since 2 weeks ago. Read somewhere (Variety, I think?) it was plagued by technical problems at some theaters, so bad that the chain offered refunds.

How sad it must be to call successful films stale just because their success makes you so insecure.
Maybe one day your tastes will align with what Japanese audience want. Cool

Do you not know the box office revenue in Japan in 2022? A major Hollywood movie retreat is occurring. Disney's slump is especially serious. Avatar in Japan has lost far more at the box office than its predecessor.

The fact there's not a single superhero movie in the combined Top 10 is so refreshing to see.

I remember reading the US domestic of Kaisen 0 outdid the Bob’s Burgers movie, that weird animated remake of Blazing Saddles, and Strange World (not that the latter was any great feat mind you), plus One Piece is an institution, so these numbers make perfect sense.

The top grossing domestic animated film in the US was Minions, which in Japan did equal business to Shin Ultraman, so I guess cultural appeal goes both ways. Not complaining in the least mind you.
