I just realized that Crunchyroll has not streamed the first special. WTF? In the end my fear that the animated conclusion of AoT was going to air at the end of 2023 came true. I blame MAPPA for the ton of work they have taken on.

The special aired less than 2 hours ago at the time you posted this so uh, maybe have some patience before deciding the sky is falling?

Thing is, Crunchyroll hasn't even acknowledged they're going to stream it. Like, nothing on social media in the past month about it. So I understand the worry.

Worth reminding people that the last season of AoT aired on CR with a bit more of a delay than most shows. Like ~4:45 EST compared to just an hour after its JPN air time.

So yeah, the lack of announcement is a bit unusual but give it some time first.

ETA - Funimation data is showing 6:00 PM EST, but given how CR is usually a bit late with posting episodes comparatively, could be a bit after that.

It's 2020, I'm watching Attack on Titan: The Final Season.
It's 2021, I'm watching Attack on Titan: The Final Season.

It's 2023, I'm watching Attack on Titan: The Final Season.

I hope Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 Second Half ends on a cliffhanger so that we have enough material for a final finale movie in 2025. Then there can be a 1.11 re-release that has added bonus footage, before then getting remastered with even more new material. Pretty sure there's some sequels in there too.

That's dumb. Blame Pony Canyon and Kodansha instead for their unreasonable deadlines.

Not going to happen
As per my first post
Special 1 = 3 chapters of remaking 8
Doubt 5 chapters will stretch to special plus movie

This starting to get ridiculous... They need to read the definition of"final" since bloody 2020 we are waiting for the completion of AoT. A 1 hour special? Couldn't they made a 3 hour movie for this last chapters?

My bad. I got confused by the time zones.
