It's interesting to me how Anno has become this like, prestige live action movie director: but only within the tokusatsu/kaiju niche.

I wonder if next up he'll go back to his kare-kano days and direct a rom-com! "Shin You've Got Mail" here we come!

Last I heard Anno was floating a Shin Ultraseven, but also admitting he wanted a vacation.
