I hope this doesn’t turn into what Disney did when they acquired Lucas Films and milked Star Wars with tons and tons of new Star Wars content. I don’t think it will happen but the Studio Ghibli name is a big name and it could easily be milked for millions if not billions.

Considering NTV already owns prime stakes in Madhouse and Tatsunoko and has a long-time relationship with Ghibli - there is a bit of doubt that they go with that, but there is a question how the studio itself evolve after that,

I think that means that Goro Miyazaki won't inherit any position. Not know if he expected to, though.

The worst thing Nippon TV could do to Ghibli is turn into a sweatshop like MAPPA. Reading this article has given me some semblance of hope that that might not happen. I gotta know who will replace Suzuki and Miyazaki since Goro is not in the running to replace either of them.

Read again -- the studio wanted Goro Miyazaki to come on. Hayao Miyazaki didn't. And that kinda checks out.
I guess Ghibli needed to get their stuff straightened out for a future after Toshio Suzuki and Hayao Miyazaki retire for real. I just hope that, in running Ghibli, Nittere maintains the same caution and care as well as the dedication to hand-drawn animation.

It's inevitable. Miyazaki, Takahata and Suzuki scared away every talent they had and now Ghibli is at its lowest point

Lowest point? They were in their lowest point in 2014, when they were dealing with box office bombs like When Marnie Was There and Princess Kaguya (both great films imo.). They were nearly bankrupt as a result of that. This sounds like the opinion of a hater.

Huh? I sure read well.

Ghibli made two isekai films in a row back in 2001 and 2002.

Takahata is dead, Miyazaki is old, Goro doesn't want to take over, promising talents went of making their own studio or went to other studio or dead. They barely has anyone noteworthy being successors to continue studio's prestige. At this point, a lot of people think that Ghibli is going to die with Miyazaki and this acquisition serve as way to protecting their IPs rather than turning the studio into Mappa.

I find it funny how people keep bringing up MAPPA as if they're only the studio that pumps out more anime than they can chew. CloverWorks, A-1 Pictures, Lidenfilms, Silver Link, J.C. Staff, and more...
