Am I the only one wondering why they never wear helmets in this version?

Still, I hope they improve the fight coreography for once in the franchise rather than just shout the techniques. The Hades Sanctuary OVAs and the Tenkai hen movie were the only time Toei decided to give the guys more movements to the point it was translated to fighting video games. Still, Kurumada has been saying this entire year that he is about to finish Next Dimension so I wonder if Toei might give it a try.

Well, there were a lot of times their helmets were knocked off so we could have that flowing 80s hair, lol.

I would love to see Toei adapt Next Dimension. Next year is Kuru's 50th anniversary as a mangaka, it's a good time for it.

From what I read on a interview a long time ago, apparently it was hard to make it work well with the hair animation in a way that is more faithful to the 2D animation style, so inded being removed entirely - what is too bad.

I would rather see it only materialize on specific occasions than not having any helmet/ornament on their heads at all. They look kind of half naked without those, lol.

I’m shocked this remake is still going, given how badly the initial episodes went. Has it gotten any better?

Oh, it is actively better. Their time in Sanctuary has been rather enjoyable, and made some changes I rather like, while also doing a lot of the big moments you would want.
