If they're gonna adapt golf manga from Jump, I'm surprised it's not Robot x Lazerbeam.

Netflix really loves Nakaba Suzuki, huh. I'm curious about this one and regardless of anything else, it's cool to see an older manga get an adaption so many years later.

Kinda excited for this! This was Nakaba Suzuki's first manga series from WSJ. Although there is very little scanlation of this series, from the little I've read of the manga it was a neat read. Looking forward to it.

I don’t love Seven Deadly Sins, but I’ve never tried a golf manga, so I’ll check this out.

I love it when obscure manga randomly get anime adaptations. Hoping that a Kongoh Bancho anime comes one day since that's easily the best thing Nakaba has ever written.

I'd never heard about it before but I can definitely see Nakaba in the character designs and the names.

Also it's weird hearing Misaki Kuno use a deeper voice for a boy.

Interesting to see Rising Impact be chosen for anime instead something more action-oriented, like Kongoh Bancho. However, at the same time, it's neat to see Rising Impact be given an anime, since it originally was actually cancelled in early 1999 after only 15 chapters, before being allowed to return due to fan demand later that same year. Therefore, seeing it now be given an anime adaptation is really cool, and it makes you wish more cancelled manga had this kind of real life story arc to them (cancelled, brought back, & eventually anime).

17 volumes is enough for 50 episodes. This could be next year's great comfort anime.

This then got cancelled a second time, for good, right after starting a new arc, truly a sacrifice at the altar of Jump.

It's got some pretty wild and crazy golf bullshit in, and somehow brings Arthurian legends into the mix, but also is firmly in the author's onee/shota thing people love to hate.

Frankly, if you're gonna do an old Suzuki work, you should be doing Blizzard Axel, by far the best thing he ever put out.

Maybe because this one wasn't axed.

This one was axed too. Twice even. Though I'm not sure whether to verify that.

Maybe he's just a 400 year old in a boy's body who's in love with a 16 year old that he's known since her infancy. Stranger things have happened.
