It's RTL2, not RTL.

Dinosaur king, the perfect show for 4kids to mess up since it really is a show marketed toward kids. They will probably make a card game that no one will buy.

Actually, the anime is based on Sega's arcade game/TCG combination, so the game has already been made. Cool

As for the 4Kids dub of the show, it's actually fairly decent. The VAs capture the spark of the original Japanese actors, the script is accurate for the most part, and edits are very limited. They even keep a bit of the original background music, which is somewhat unusual for 4Kids.

If the lead character wasn't played by Veronica Taylor, and didn't sound exactly like Ash Ketchum, maybe I would have made it through an entire episode without being sad, and actually watch the show on a regular basis. Ah, well.

Yes, I'm still bitter about the Pokemon voices. I'll probably never get over it. Crying or Very sad

You are not alone. Its comforting to know that someone out there had the same issues with the va cast that I had. I saw a few episodes but could never keep watching.

Yeah, I miss the old Pokemon cast, but I've learned to live with the new one.

Though, it's funny. Dinosaur King has its own Team Rocket group of baddies, and Rachel Lillis voices Ursula (who is basically the Jessie of the group), so in a way, watching Dinosaur King is like watching the 4Kids dub of Pokemon.

Of course, there's enough differences between the two shows to make them unique, but there's certainly some similarities there, too.

I'm glad the old cast is getting some work, anyway. Voice actors gotta eat. Crying or Very sad

Already done! At the cost of £1 per card though, it's a little steep!

Huh... I thought that 4Kids officially "died" a while ago. I guess now it's just... undead.

It would be nice for Tokyo Mew Mew if FUNimation took that out of 4Kids hands as well.

Honestly, I think the window of opotunity has been long past on TMM.

It had it when TP was releasing the manga.

While I wouldn't say they're going strong they do have a lot of life left in them. They'll be handling the Saturday morning block on CW in the Fall so expect them to announce a lot of new titles to cover both FOX and CW this Fall.

If it worked for One Piece, why couldn't it work for TMM regardless?
