The line for that was really, REALLY long. That was my most looked forward to panel on Friday outside of autographing with Makoto Shinkai (which I also failed to do...) it sounded like a blast!

15 minutes working on a song? I wonder if it was just a little jingle. It'd be remarkable if he just sat down in front of his computer and created something like "Dancing Mad" on the spot, that's for sure.

Man I would have loved to have attended that panel but I can only imagine how packed it was. I was at the panels that involved Amano at the last NYAF (I think before they combined with NYCC) and if it wasn't for the fact that I had a professional badge I wouldn't have gotten a seat, the line to get in was long and so was the autograph line. The only way you get one was to arrive early and pick up the free tickets they gave out as soon as the booth opened. I've been a long time fan of Nobuo Uematsu for many years. FF4 and FF6 was what got me into him during the SNES years. He was the reason I got into collecting game soundtracks. So his favorite is FF6 why am I not surprised. Shoo, every FF arrangement soundtrack contained tracks from 4 and especially 6. Hell after awhile you wonder if you should be pleased or tired of it. Theme of love or Aria Di Mezzo. So it took him a week to compose 'One Winged Angel?' Compared to 'Dancing Mad' that ran almost 17 min and the ending at a whopping 20+ minutes 'One Winged Angel' wasn't even that long but took him longer to compose. That's interesting. After 'Dancing Mad' I was curious if he'd ever compose more tunes of that length. Great column.

-Uematsu drew BIG laughs in response to his wanting to be a pro wrestler by saying that he'd have to immigrate to Mexico to become one!

He was so funny! Always had a smile on his face too. Great experience for everyone. Very Happy
