Odd. Seems like they want to do the theatrical and Blu-ray/DVD releases of the entire twenty-six episodes (seven films) before they air the series on TV? Am I reading too much into the article? Or is it just that it's going to take a really long time to animate the episodes/films a la the Evangelion re-make films.

The former. I think they're planning a new movie release each month -ish, so it'll still be 4 episodes a week. However it's like an OVA series: first come disc sales and special screening, and only afterwards it might have a TV airing (probably on Wowow or somewhere like that).

I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or delighted. I guess as long as I have my Yamato, it doesn't really matter.

Took a year to get to Iscandar and back; apparently will take a year to get on TV.

It fits, sort of.
