What?
I thought the japanese people didn't care about digital manga (except some yaoi and stuff...) so it seems the investors care more about this than the readers... |

There's no promise this will be for manga. Japanese publishers also publish books full of words.
The Kindle e-ink readers tend to moire on screentones, so it wouldn't surprise me if any manga that comes out is restricted to the Kindle Fire. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if amazon.co.jp Kindle sales are limited to Japan (as amazon.co.jp MP3 sales are). |

Are the app versions currently available in Japan?
Not that I've really understood why you would ever want a more locked-down tablet when you can get general purpose ones for the same price or less, and then just download the Kindle app. Outside of being overprotective of kids, I guess. |
