Why would you think that? The franchise is making a lot of money right now, so why would the publisher cancel it right at its peak?

Because the author said and did some really stupid things. Media Factory did indeed cancel publishing the series. However it seems the author has a new publisher (Kodansha) though I haven't seen any new IS novels released in quite a long time so I'm guessing there is some sort of stumbling block before the transfer actually occurs.

Its in all of their best interest to make up and forget any things that happened in the past, since Infinite Stratos can make them all lots of money if they cooperate. We're talking about a top 15 selling anime since 2006 after all.

Huh. I somehow missed all that, or else forgot about it.

Chagen46, I apologise, you were right to say that.

Kodansha is going to publish a new title of his. The rights to IS has been transferred back to Izuru (or assumed to be Izuru) which is were seeing some new stuff now. Overlap (company made up of some ex-Media Factory employees) is taking care of publishing this new set - so they might also be publishing the next IS volume.

Yes, Kōdansha has released Hōkago Battlefield by Yumizuru Izuru in August under the Kōdansha Lanove Bunko imprint.

Want that! Also it would be interesting if there was a new season, but i don't feel it is crucial. I love the manga, anime, and novels so this will be interesting. btw CHARL FTW!!
