If their current shows are any indication, they'll be uploading One Piece and DBZ videos for years to come before they catch up or finish. I mean, they still aren't finished with Madoka Magica yet!

That is a weird region for One Piece: North America + SE Asia(and (India)

Looks like Europe and Latin America got seriously boned by Daisuki on that, but that is good news for Thailand, Vietnam, India and Indonesia.

I didn't notice the Daisuki hopes to expand regions soon thing the first time

Daisuki gave Latin America the huge finger, none of their latest releases are available in our area.

The restriction of DBZ makes no sense in particular considering that Mexico is getting the Battle of Gods film in September.

I wonder if Japan is naive enough to believe that we won't find a way to watch these shows if they don't give them to us. That's some way to fight piracy Rolling Eyes

Excellent, DBZ in Japanese with subtitles.

Not quite Dragon Box quality, but not as bleached as the Season Sets. Interesting.

UK,Ireland, Australia and New Zealand shafted again while USA and Canada get yet another option to watch the same shows they already have.

Seriously WTF!!

We speak the same language so just let us in, I mean Toei are in charge so i don't understand the hold up.

Why not prioritize those who don't already have the option to watch DBZ and One Piece Streaming??

Complete idiocy in my opinion!!!

Well I guess i'll stick with the Fansubs, way to go Toei!

It is weird. The aspect ratio isn't 4:3 or 16:9, but the video isn't distorted.

The pictures they have on their site are extremely sharp and clear too. I wonder if this is a new remastering? Or is this FUNi's remastering but uncropped? The video seems to be HD, but that varying quality thing their player does makes it hard to tell.

The opening is the Dead Zone opening (as the movie certification is on the logo), which is also the opening FUNi's BDs had.

Edit:
Weirdly, the video is cropped on the top/bottom compared to FUNi's BDs -- but not enough to make the AR 16:9. Colors look pretty similar though, as far as I can tell between the grain on the BDs and artifacting on the stream. Not sure what's up with this release though...

Edit2:
The video source for episode 1 is totally different than episode 2+. 2+ is just a normal 4:3 that might be the Dragon Boxes...

It amazes me that many companies still opt for region specific streaming. You'd think the internet would have opened information and entertainment channels worldwide, but is seems many still insist that there is more money to be made by keeping a product AWAY from people.

Because I'm sure that pirating anime is a great way to stick it to the industry who are accused of restricting regions without basis.

Seriously, all this finger pointing is getting old, people. If you're miffed about your country not getting access, then maybe it would be in your best interest to take the matter up with Daisuki and not cry on the forums in the hopes that the company will actually take notice.
