As I recall, SEGA did something similar when they cut the Japanese quiz (among other things) from the international release of Yakuza 3.

So far the quiz seems to be the only thing cut from this game, so it's not a very significant loss in my opinion, but I just hope nothing else gets cut.

This kind of implies the West is getting a decent release of the game, when in reality it's not even worth a physical release for DLCrapcom.
