CoMC is one of my all-time favorite books, but you've gotta put a really unique spin on it to lure me in. I still rewatch Gankutsuou all the time and would love to see something as interesting as that again.

I was thinking the exact same thing, I watched many different adaptations of Monte Cristo, From reading the original book to seeing Gankutsuou which is in my top 5 Anime series i ever watched.

If they can make a new unique spin to this i would like to something like that again as well Smile

considering the magazine that will carry it, it'll probably be a much saucier version than what we're used to.
