This franchise was a guilty pleasure of mine but now it's not so guilty because over time I've come to realize just how awesome it's cast, especially it's two lead characters are.

I wonder if these recent license announcements from Sentai mean that for their March slate they would include: Gingitsune, Devils and Realist, TWGOK: Goddesses Arc, Familiar of Zero, S2 and possibly Outbreak Company and maybe Kyoukai no Kanata CE.

That would look to me like a very attractive slate.

I wouldn't count on it but if it happens it would probably be a new cast with Sentai actors. The old cast were mostly student actors. Only a few became active actors in dubs. I doubt Sentai would go out of their way to pay for a dub that only a couple actors would return for. Not to mention its not like its a beloved dub that fans really demand like K-ON or Persona 4.
To me its basically barely above fandub quality.

By far and away my favorite Zero no Tsukaima series.

I'll be picking up the first and second seasons now, was waiting on S2 getting licensed since it's the one most definitely worth owning in my opinion.

Agreed about this being such a great series. Good catch Sentai!

One would hope if this sells well then the third season could be a pick up too.

This hasn't any direct relation to the licensing of ZnT, but i'll say it anyways.

So much time has passed since Yamaguchi-sensei's death, but i'm still incredibly sad each time i read something about his works. Is it just me feeling like that?

I still haven't managed to delete the Zero no Tsukaima App from my iPhone, even though it's of no use to me anymore, since i already own all released japanese light novels and all released manga volumes already...

I really miss the tweets about his meals...

Nope, I miss Yamaguchi all the time. His was a talent that was cut short far too soon.

Nice, I hope they also get season 3 so I can completely own the franchise.

I knew that this was coming, but I can't be happy about it. The Familiar of Zero was a crappy anime.

They licensed season 4 first and than 1 and now 2, the very fact they license season 4 first and yet have no released it yet and the fact they release season 1 first and with the english dub inclided. it is already a clear sign they are planning on releasing all the series in eng dub sooner or later.

Well it's a good thing I held out on watching season four now. I'm curious to know how much something like this affects sales of the season four DVD now that the other seasons are going to be available legally.

Now that Season 2 of The Familiar of Zero is here, here's hoping Season 3 gets picked up, in which I hope Seasons 2, 3, and 4 will eventually have an English version. I couldn't care less if that means finding new seiyuu, so long as the show is in the hands of a good director.

They included the English dub because it was already made years ago by another company, not because they plan to release the rest of the show with a dub.
I see no signs that they are planning to have dubs, you never know with Sentai but just because they licensed season 4 first and didn't release it before the other seasons doesn't mean they are dubbing it if thats what your saying. Season 1 & 2 were probably different because they were licensed and perhaps it wasn't as easy to license them as quickly(?).
