I read this one in Japanese when it came out and... wouah... it was low quality "literature". I hope the anime adaptation will raise the level...

With an adaptation at a later date? IIRC, there are 2 novels currently out, so it's about 6-8 anime episodes. (Maybe in Kuroko no Basket's 4th season)
