I wish they released more of their short lived Jump series as graphic novels. I'd love to be able to own physical volumes of Cross Manage.

Agreed. Barrage and Gyakku Hotei were just awful.. If any series deserved a print run, it was Cross Manage.

Wow, I never knew till now that Cross Manage's volumes were only available digitally. That does seem pretty weird.

Eh, I thought Gyakku Hotei was pretty great actually. It and Stealth Symphony were great series...before they were forced to rush themselves into endings.

Not really. With Viz's track record of most of their sports manga selling poorly, it wouldn't make financial sense to release it in print.

Despite that, one would hope that because it's a short series, they would've given a print run a go. But alas.

I'm guessing Viz decided to space out their announcements between Anime Expo and San Diego Comic Con. Still, I figured the big pop cultural stuff like the announcements relating to Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon would go to SDCC and the stuff only anime and manga fans would understand, like this, would be assigned to Anime Expo.

Meanwhile I'm still waiting on Stealth Symphony GN's. Come on Viz, it was pretty popular with the English readers.

This! I'd love to own physical English copies of Stealth Symphony.

I might pick up Gakkyu Hotei; the end was kinda cheesy spoiler["The real ogre was inside our hearts" or something] and the swimsuit fanservice with sixth graders was kind of awkward, but some of the cases were pretty neat and I like the colour art for the covers a lot.

Oh yes, I would get physical copies of Stealth Symphony. I loved that series, at least until they had to wrap it up.

I wonder if western fans buying these things have any impact on Shueisha deciding if a series should keep going or, in this case, if an author ought to return. Then again, they do bring back authors of series that flop all the time, as you never know when they might hit it big (as is what recently happened with Yuki Tabata and Black Clover).
