Wait, Media Blasters is still planning on Ladies vs Butlers? It's been so long since anything was said about it I assumed they'd just dropped it. And I guess sales numbers for Juden-chan must have been surprisingly high if they're suddenly giving it a dub now.

You can't burn a copy-protected Blu-ray, so don't hold your breath.

Looking forward to cringing through it, just like I did for the Holy Knight dub!

About time! It's been ages since I've heard anything from Media Blasters concerning Jūden Chan, but better late than never. I look forward to watching it. Smile

Money that could be better spent by giving their other titles a proper release instead of burning disks that were bought at the local walgreens

Korean-Americans are getting some representation since Akiharu's dub voice is a South Korean who grew up on a Christmas tree farm.

True, but since they're doing burn instead of pressed discs, then from I recall of the blu-ray logo license, burned BDs do not need to implement AACS. That's how home burners and indie producers can distribute BD-R videos. Justin also describes going through a ton of BD-Rs for test discs and evaluation with clients.

However, I doubt they'll do this. If you can stand the dub, it's ironic that you'll get the 1080p version of Holy Knight on CR vs 480p DVD.

Anyways, I hope they fix the audio and add the animated short OVAs for Juden-chan and also provide the shorts for Ladies vs Butlers too

MB better step up the plate if they want to keep releasing titles. It's one thing for a licensing giant like Funi to delay releases of certain titles (Eva 3.3 specifically) when they license so many titles that they risk releasing another title even longer. However, when you have a sparsely-licensing company like MB, I don't know if it gives much justification for licensing delays.

Ugh. I really don't think these shows deserve releases here, let alone dubs. I think Media Blasters is better off either dubbing/releasing something better or just shutting down entirely.

Do you think Media Blasters has the money to compete with Sentai and Funi on big name releases? Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing . For a company that once had one foot in the grave they are doing pretty well.

Looking forward to finally getting LVB. Have had it on preorder since feb of 2014. I'll pick up Juuden-chan too as long as the bonus episodes are there.

I wouldn't get your hopes too high. There was a BD version listed on the old TRSI site, but the new site only lists a DVD. The wholesalers AAA Anime only have a DVD listed.

Polycell didn't say you can't burn BDs, only that you can burn them with copy protection (i.e. AACS, or more specifically the BD-ROM Mark). Do you think when licensors are restricting things like changing subtitles they will really allow DRM-free discs?
