posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Dubbing director Daisy May Cariño revealed on Tuesday that she is directing a Filipino dub for the My Hero Academia anime. Her Instagram post highlighted the project's voice actors, and featured a clip of the dub. Cariño stated that ABS-CBN is in charge of the dub, but ABS-CBN has not yet announced if or when it will air the anime.
The first 13-episode season of the anime based on Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga premiered in April 2016. The second season premiered on April 1. Animax Asia aired simulcasts of both seasons as they aired in Japan. The anime is getting a third season.
Horikoshi launched the superhero manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, and Shueisha published the 16th compiled volume on November 2. The manga's 13th and 14th compiled book volumes both bundled an original anime.
