My Hero Academia Anime's 3rd Season Confirmed for 25 Episodes

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

The official website for the My Hero Academia anime series confirmed on Saturday that the anime's third season will have 25 episodes (episodes 39-63 of the overall series). The anime will have eight home video releases in Japan, released once a month between July 2018 and February 2019. The first printings of each of the eight releases will also bundle an extra CD with a mini voice drama and cast roundtable discussion.

Funimation also previously listed the season with 25 episodes. Funimation originally planned to stream the first six episodes of the series with a simultaneous dub, but the company has delayed the release of the first episode. Funimation projected that the English dub of the second episode will premiere as scheduled.

The new season premieres on Saturday, and is remaining in the 5:30 p.m. timeslot on Saturdays that the second season held on YTV, NTV, and 27 other network affiliates. Crunchyroll and Hulu will stream the series with English subtitles.
