Level-5 Delays Fantasy Life Online Smartphone RPG App Until Summer
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The official Twitter account for Level 5's Fantasy Life Online smartphone game announced on Friday that the game's launch has been delayed from this spring to summer to improve the overall quality. The game was previously delayed from 2017 to spring 2018. The game will be free but certain items in-game will cost extra.
Level 5 first revealed Fantasy Life Online as Fantasy Life 2: Futatsu no Tsuki to Kamisama no Mura (Fantasy Life 2 Twin Moons and the Sacred Village) in 2015, and the company held a closed beta in July 2016. Level 5 then changed the title to Fantasy Life Online in October 2016, with a planned release in 2016.
Like the first game, the new game will feature 12 Life paths. Players go up in rank as they progress through the game and achieve tasks from their corresponding Life Master. A new "Village" feature allows players to build their own village.
Nintendo released the first Fantasy Life Nintendo 3DS game in North America in October 2014. The game originally launched in Japan in 2012.
