Indonesia Takes 1st Place at World Cosplay Summit 2016

The World Cosplay Summit 2016 competition crowned Indonesia representatives Ryan Cyd and Frea Mai as the Grand Champions at the award ceremony on Saturday. The duo's presentation was based on Trinity Blood with Cyd dressed as Cain Knightlord and Mai dressed as Seth Nightlord. Both costumes employ some impressive technical tricks, where at one moment Mai appears to be split in half and Cyd flies on stage.
The costumes took the winners about four months to make.
Second place went to Denmark's Shinji and Tiny Cosplay. The pair dressed as Perseus and Lalvan from aki's The Angel of Elhamburg manga.
Third place went to France's LucioleS and Fenié Sophie as Honoka and Eli from Love Live!
A total of 30 countries were competing for the title. Last year's event crowned Mexico's Twin Cosplay as champions.
