posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The stars of the stage musical adaptations of the Touken Ranbu franchise brought their blades from the stage to the baseball diamond on Tuesday. The actors appeared on the pitcher's mound at the Tokyo Dome for the Yomiuri Giants game against the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. The actors put on a stage-worthy performance that delighted sports and Touken Ranbu fans alike.

Japanese model and actor Mario Kuroba, who plays Munechika Mikazuki, appeared for the game's opening pitch. He was handed the ball and a glove by Izuminokami Kanesada (actor: Shōtarō Arisawa), took his place to pitch, and threw the ball with determination. Giants catcher Takumi Ohshiro caught the pitch to huge applause and cheers from the crowd.

You can see Kuroba and the rest of the actors practicing their game before the big night in the video below, along with another shot of the starting pitch and some of the entire group's musical performance during the game.

The official Yomiuri Giant's Twitter account shared more fun photos from the game.
