To Terra spinoff manga also ending

The Blue Drop ~Tenshi no Bokura~ science-fiction yuri manga by Akihito Yoshitomi (Eat-Man, Ray) has ended in the March issue (released on January 19) of Akita Shoten's Champion RED magazine. This is actually the second Blue Drop manga series that Akihito Yoshitomi created. The Blue Drop anime series premiered in October with a story that took place a decade before Tenshi no Bokura's story. The anime just ended on December 25 after 13 episodes. Haru Wamusato's Kin no Tamago manga also ended Champion RED's March issue.

After five years of serialization, the Wild Life vetenarian manga by Masato Fujisaki has abruptly ended in this year's eighth issue (released on January 23) of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in Japan. The manga was recently adapted into a live-action drama series, but the production was cancelled after two giraffes died just days after being filmed. (The completed two episodes will still air in March.)

Chaco Abeno's sola manga will end in the April issue (on sale on February 21) of MediaWorks' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine. The fantasy manga is the first part of a multimedia franchise by story writer Naoki Hisaya (Kanon) and character designer Naru Nanao (D.C. ~Da Capo~, ef: a tale of memories) which includes a popular 2007 anime television series. Broccoli Book had just announced at the end of December that it had licensed the manga for North America. The first compiled volume was published in Japan last July.

Finally, the To Terra~Aoki Kōbō no Kiss~ spinoff manga by Fumino Hayashi (Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days) will end in the March issue (on sale on February 18) of Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine. Keiko Takemiya (Andromeda Stories) created the original manga, but handed the drawing duties of the new manga to Hayashi. Vertical Publishing is releasing the original To Terra manga, and ADV Manga is releasing the Evangelion: Angelic Days manga. The first compiled volume of Hayashi's To Terra~Aoki Kōbō no Kiss~ manga was released last July in Japan, but has yet to be released in North America.
