Nan Desu Kan adds voices for Totoro's Satsuki, Gunbuster's Noriko, Ranma's tofu

The Nan Desu Kan convention has confirmed that it will host the Japanese voice actress Noriko Hidaka and voice actor Yūji Mitsuya at the September 12–14 event at the Denver Marriott Tech Center in Colorado. Hidaka debuted in 1984's The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross as Musica Nova and her two twin sisters, and has since played several dozen roles. Those roles include Satsuki Kusakabe (My Neighbor Totoro), Noriko Takaya (Gunbuster), Akane Tendo (Ranma 1/2), Jean (Nadia - Secret of Blue Water), Sojiro Seta (Rurouni Kenshin), Kikyo (Inuyasha), Erica Fontaine (Sakura Taisen 3), Minami Asakura (Touch), and Shiine (Akazukin Cha Cha). More recently, she has played Near (Death Note) and the mother in Chi's Sweet Home. She also sang theme songs for Gunbuster, Ranma 1/2, and Spirit of Wonder.

Mitsuya is both a prolific voice actor and a recording director on various anime. He played Dr. Tofu Ono (Ranma 1/2), Supreme Kai (Dragon Ball Z), Tatsuya Uesugi (Touch), Tongari (Kiteretsu Daihyakka), Kurumi Moriya (Nurse Angel Ririka SOS), Sorges (Akazukin Cha Cha), Sarutobi Nikumaru (Sasuga no Sarutobi), Miino and Shaka (Saint Seiya), and Katsudon Man and Hamburger Kid from Anpanman. He also directed the post-production work and dialogue for Yu-Gi-Oh!, 5 Centimeters Per Second, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, and the Rurouni Kenshin videos. Outside anime, he dubbed Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly character in the Back to the Future trilogy and Tom Hulce's portrayal of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Amadeus.

Both guests' appearances were arranged by the Madhouse anime studio.
