Kamikaze Douga animates music video for Base Ball Bear's "Cross You and I"

The Japanese rock band Base Ball Bear commissioned the indie anime studio Kamikaze Douga to animate a music video for the band's "Joujika YOU and I" ("Cross YOU and I") song. The video is one of five streamed by the Project xxLLxxSS YouTube account as part of the "Project: Design To xxLL/xxSS" line. Each film is a music video for a track from the upcoming Base Ball Bear album 3.5th Album CYPRESS GIRLS. The album is due in stores on September 29, although tracks from the album are already available on iTunes Japan.

The video is also streaming on the official website hosted by Base Ball Bear's music label EMI.

Kamikaze Douga made a splash in March of 2009 by co-animating a music video for pop singer Namie Amuro. The following month, it began streaming its science-fiction anime short project "Amanatsu." According to the studio's official website, it was also involved in the opening video for Sunrise's Freedom OVA and in the 2007 animated film Mushiking Super Battle Movie: The Upgraded Armored Beetle of Darkness.

Base Ball Bear has contributed theme songs to several anime titles, including the Library War ending "changes," the Big Windup! opening "Dramatic," and the seventh Gintama opening, "Stairway Generation." In 2009, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure creator Hirohiko Araki created an illustration for the group's CD single "Breeeeze Girl."
