Voice Actress Sayaka Ohara Has Vocal Cord Surgery

posted on by Egan Loo
1-month break planned from radio work & narration, but not in anime voice-acting

Voice actress Sayaka Ōhara reported on her website on Monday that she underwent surgery to deal with an unspecified number of polyp(s) and node(s) on her vocal cords.

As a result of this and the rehabilitation that follows, she is taking a one-month break from her work. She will have substitutes for her radio program Now Hits Streets and her narration work on Toei's Cinemachop program. However, she assured her fans that she already planned out her animation work for her rehabilitation and eventual return, so fans will not notice a break in her voice-acting.
