Madman's AnimeLab to Stream Tokyo ESP

The announcement was made via Madman Entertainment's facebook page and via press release. The first episode will go online at AnimeLab.com on Friday the 11th of July 2014. A home video release will be announced at some point in the near future.

Hajime Segawa's original science fantasy manga begins with Rinka (Ibuki Kido), an extremely poor high school girl who lives with just her father in modern Tokyo. One day, she is going home from school when she chases a flying penguin to the top of New Tokyo Tower — only to have fish suddenly swimming through the air in front of her. One of the fish goes through Rinka and gives her extraordinary powers beyond those of normal humans, particularly the ability to slip through solid objects.
While we don't currently know how many episodes Tokyo ESP will run for, the series is being directed by Shigehito Takayanagi (The World God Only Knows) at Xebec with Hideyuki Kurata (The World God Only Knows) handling the series composition. Chief animation director Shintetsu Takiyama is also handling the character designs alongside art director Ryouka Kinoshita (Ladies versus Butlers!).
The singer Faylan will perform the opening theme song "Tokyo Zero Hearts," while the group Yousei Teikoku will perform the ending theme song, "Guze Άργυρóϛ."
At the time of this article, Tokyo ESP has yet to be licensed by any distributors in North America or Europe for either home video or online streaming.
Tokyo ESP is based on Hajime Segawa's original manga of the same name, his second work after The Enchained Spiritual Beast Ga-Rei (shortened to Ga-Rei: Zero for the anime). The series was launched in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in February 2010 and Kadokawa published the ninth collected volume in December 2013.
